We had the pleasure of meeting a skilled carver in Tucson that loves working with unusual materials.  We purchased several one of a kind spheres from him.  This particular sphere is an incredible piece!  Carved from amethyst from Thunder Bay, Canada, it is completely unique.  The amethyst is a beautiful lavender that is traced by red-brown jasper of the matrix and golden healer inclusions that stain the amethyst like citrine.  One of my favorite features of this sphere is an area of amethyst that is bounded by the jasper in the shape of a 5-pointed star.  There is also a small imperfection if you can call it that.  In a crystalline area of the amethyst, there is a pocket in the polish where the amethyst crystals did not quite meet.  Jenn wrote a particularly powerful reading on the abilities of Thunder Bay amethyst, and I've included it at the end of the page.

The amethyst we have received from Thunder Bay, Canada have such different energy from other amethyst. Their energy is much younger, very intense, clean and refreshing, think of the cool clean mountain air. Their energy is far more accessible than other amethyst because their physical and mental support is needed at this time and they are so much more intense and powerful. They wear their healing abilities on their sleeve. They are especially healing for children of this era. Especially Indigo children as they are often misunderstood. Children are being exposed to things that are far more intense and harsh than they should really be exposed to. These amethysts help you reach for the goodness and all that is pure and clean in a world that is too often fraught with pain, suffering, and violence. The amethysts have intense emotions, because that is what the children of today have been born to experience. But unlike the worldly emotions right now, their intense emotions are good, pure and positive. They will help the young and old alike to feel hope again, and to heal physically, emotionally and mentally, very quickly. They are very fast acting. They give you hope of what good there can and will be. They help one reach upward to a light and happy place, not down into the darkness.
