Finding natural smoky citrine crystals is a true treasure, especially one as sweet as this one. Small enough for a pocket, but large enough to feel substantial in your hand it is a true companion. A few minor bruises can be found around the apex of the crystal, camouflaged somewhat by the high degree of etchings on the faces.  A large cavity is nestled near the base of the crystal, leading you into the interior world of the crystal. A large past time link helps to you to connect the lessons of the past to the challenges of today.

Smoky quartz has very joyous energy despite its grounding nature. It is an excellent stone to facilitate grounding especially during directed work with higher energy stones. It helps you feel comfortable in your own skin, relaxed and confident. It assists one to focus on the tasks before them. Its beautiful energy provides strength and balance and helps you to achieve the same. Citrine is a phenomenal mineral, and one of my favorites. It is one of two minerals that will not accumulate negative energy, but somehow transmutes it into loving energy. I find this interesting as both minerals--citrine and kyanite--are symbolic of the Archangel Michael. It is also known as the "Merchant's Stone". It is quite helpful in acquiring and maintaining wealth.

It is an excellent stone for clearing the aura and for aligning the auric body with the physical structure, diminishing the "muddy" areas in both the aura and the physical body. It can act to stabilize the emotions, to dispel anger, and to encourage one to "look toward the sunrise", the freshness of beginnings and the reality of excellence. Personally, I use citrine in conjunction with labradorite to help keep panic/anxiety attacks at bay.

It is one of the few crystals that do not require any cleansing. It can also be left in the sun for additional charging.
