This beautiful slice is a a section from a malachite stalagmite. Like the rings of a tree, you can see the growth patterns of the stone. The surface has been polished and stabilized, there are a few light scratches but only noticeable under close scrutiny. The sides have only been lightly buffed. If you look carefully you can see some of the rings of another stalagmite that rested against this one.

The malachite measures 1.1" x 0.9" x 0.25".
